forum rules

The following are a set of guidelines and rules that we must all abide by in the forum and the chat box, these rules were set out by church in the previous forum and i believe they are whats needed for our own forum. These rules are set in stone and must not be broken but the rules can be amanded or added to to ensure that they are always for the benefit of the members of the alliance.

1. always be postive.
2. always offer support to younger and weaker players.
3. never bring another member down.
4. no taunting.
5. no swearing (within reason, younger players use the forum as well

any breakages of these rules will result in a yellow card and if bad enough, or 2 yellow cards are shown in 5 days, a red card shall be shown. if you are given a red card you will be banned from the forum for 1 week.

guys the forum is here to have fun and be a communications tool for us, use it, dont abuse it.

Strongly agree with you Deany. the rules are for our own benefit and not for the fact of proposing them for their superiority... i believe every player should present what he thinks abt the rules to update them and follow his decisions with persuasif arguments

I don't entirely agree with these rules. First of all the first 3 rules really compile to a single rule which is 'always be positive', in-fact with extenuation all 5 rules actually lead back to the precursor rule of 'always be positive'. I don't think being positive all the time is the necessary action to solve all problems. There are cases where an individual will need to be explained, in a less then discrete manor, that he has made a mistake. More often then not this will be carried out by a council member. I have seen and condoned it before, ones mistakes sometimes are not as obvious to one as they are to others.

This 'keeping with church's' concept is almost becoming religious (excuse the pun ). We are our own alliance, granted based on his concept (operative word being based). We can have more simplistic rules.

1. No obscene language (ever, no extenuating circumstances)
2. No negative feed-back, must always be constructive.

Each gives a yellow card, and 2 yellows equals red and that is expulsion (no suspension).

Simple.

The last alliance was run a little hap-hazardly, lets move on.

One week suspension for the first red card. For the next one, expulsion.

strongly agree with you Nico... updating the rules is essential trust me now we've been playing together for more than 4 months we got used to each others and i think we're all on the straight line. The rules will be new for the newcomers who haven't been interacting with the rest of the team... so i think those who won't follow the rules will suffer the consequences for a suspension/ expulsion and that means the subject is not worth being member of this alliance since when ex-heretic started no one has issues with the rules and we all went to be positive.

rules are here so things would work better between all of us....so the person who wont follow them doesnt deserve to be here with us...rules are rules and they have to be threated with respect in any time...
